A Message From Luke

Hello, I’m Luke, a fully qualified and insured Sports & Soft Tissue Therapist, and the proud owner of Road To Recovery Therapy. I provide various treatments and services for addressing both minor and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

I embarked on my journey shortly after completing my Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy Diploma and soon went on to study a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports & Soft Tissue Therapy – one of the highest qualifications of its kind in the UK. My commitment to ongoing learning and development has seen me achieve further qualifications in Personal Training, Medical Acupuncture, Dry Cupping, Injury Strapping and Kinesiology Taping. Equipped with first aid training and affiliations with industry leading Professional Associations, I am dedicated to utilising my expertise to assist others in their journey to recovery and doing what I love most – helping people!

Having been a competing National gymnast from a young age, I was forced to step down at the age of 16 due to being diagnosed with a spinal disorder known as Scheuermann’s disease; a condition that occurs during adolescent development resulting in an abnormal curvature of the spine. This led me to undergo major spinal surgery which left me with a fused spine, metal implants in my back and a long rehabilitation process. This meant that I was no longer able to train as a gymnast, so I shifted my focus into becoming a gymnastics coach instead, which put me in great stead for becoming a therapist. Having spent so long recovering from surgery I began to learn about the human body, gaining a new fascination for anatomy and an appreciation for how rehabilitation works. This journey ultimately led me to where I am today, a qualified Sports & Soft Tissue Therapist.

I take pride in being a healthcare practitioner known for professionalism and friendliness. My commitment is to provide optimal treatment and care to each patient, fuelled by a passion for assisting individuals in achieving their goals, whether it’s running a marathon or working pain-free in the office. Recognising the impact that pain and injury has on an individuals physical and mental well-being, I adopt a holistic approach to treatment and place emphasis on treating the mind and body as one.

I genuinely love my work and promise to always do my very best for you. I am always keen to hear about your progress after treatment, so feel free to drop me a message, share your experience, and let me know how you are getting on!

“I highly recommend Luke. I personally have a complicated history of injuries and don’t always feel confident in putting my trust in a therapist, but I can honestly say my massage was fantastic, totally tailored to my needs. I will definitely be going back very soon for another session.”
